The IYRP 2026 FAO NENA Regional Conference in Hammamet (26–28 January) aimed to build a shared vision for sustainable rangelands and pastoral communities across the Near East and North Africa. Our Global Coordinator Khalid Khawaldeh highlighted the links between recognition of pastoralists’ land rights and the ability to secure sustainable livelihoods. Other WAMIP pastoralist members from Egypt also took part.
