Native Prairie Appreciation Week Tour

Join the Society for Rangeland Management Prairie Parkland Chapter and partners at the 2026 Native Prairie Appreciation Week tour! This year's theme is "Prairie Power: Roots, Shoots, and Boots".

Following are the tentative agenda topics (subject to change). 

Exact meeting locations and times will be sent to attendees prior to the event. 

Children are welcome to attend (12 and under free) and there will be youth activities throughout the event. 

Day 1: Friday, June 12

  • 11am Society for Range Management - Prairie Parkland Chapter AGM
  • 1pm Registration at SK Landing Provincial Park 
  • Invasive species plant ID
  • Targeted grazing and prescribed burns for vegetation management in SK Landing Provincial Park 
  • Tour of targeted grazing and prescribed fire areas 
  • 5:30pm Supper in Kyle (provided)

Day 2: Saturday, June 13

  • 8am Registration at Monet Pasture
  • Intro to rangeland bird ID
  • Plant identification
  • Lunch in the field (provided)
  • Rangeland Health Assessments
