We are delighted to share that our Dryland Ecology Lab is organizing an international webinar in observance of World Desertification and Drought Day 2026 under the global theme:
"Rangelands: Recognize. Respect. Restore"
The webinar will be held on 17 June 2026 at 2:00 PM (Pakistan Standard Time) and will bring together leading international experts to discuss rangeland restoration, dryland resilience, ecosystem management, remote sensing applications, and the integration of science and local knowledge for sustainable land management.
The event strongly aligns with the objectives of the International Year of Rangelands and Pastoralists (IYRP) by promoting awareness of the ecological, social, and economic importance of rangelands and supporting dialogue on sustainable pastoral livelihoods and landscape restoration.
