Sonora Research Station 110 year Anniversary Celebration - Sonora, TX

This event will provide an overview of the broad range of research the Texas A&M Research Station at Sonora, Texas has been involved in over the past century. This station is at the forefront of prescribed burning research in Texas, and the use of biological brush control. Texas Section is a paying sponsor of this event and we will have a booth that will be manned by at least 4 of our Board of Directors as well as members of our Youth Activities Committee. We will be distributing materials on IYRP and GA4RP to meeting participants and YAC will be handing out materials for our Youth Range Workshop. Our Young Professionals Committee has actually been assisting with planning this event. This area has been the hub of rangeland research in the Edwards Plateau Region of Texas for 110 years and any event they host is expected to draw a large crowd of area producers.
