Summer Reading, Textile and Plant Craft Day

On Wednesday July 1, 2026, the Harney County Library held its kids Summer Reading event. The main activity was an IYRP Textile Craft. We first watched the video of the Argentine shepherd singing (Eliseo; https://youtu.be/R6sdmYw58m0?si=Zs8Rk7SEAWEJyUEr), then Isabelle Fleuraud showed the kids pictures of rangelands around the world. Then they made felt flowers to decorate the IYRP sheep, which is part of the GrasslandsProject.org effort. Attendance was 61 kids and 23 adults. Live goats and a llama from the Harney County Weed Eaters also made a live appearance.
