European meeting of Women Shepherdesses

This event is part of the activities leading up to the global gender Gathering in Nepal in May. On this occasion, women livestock farmers from several European countries will meet in Madrid, Spain to share and work together on solutions to common needs, while also preparing for the global gathering. The most innovative aspect of this initiative is that it will be designed BY the women themselves: female livestock farmers and shepherds.  It is expected 30-50 women pastoralists will attend from every country of Europe.
