We are pleased to invite you to the 3rd session of the scientific animation cycle "Rethinking the links between governance of societies and sustainability of socio-ecological systems, starting from the Sahel".
Over the year 2026, this animation organized by researchers from the UMRs ArtDev, Sens and Espace Dev questions the ways of thinking about the links between governance and sustainability in an interdisciplinary approach centered on the social sciences. It mobilizes in a non-exclusive way Sahelian situations, as archetypes of shifting and complex configurations, where functionalist conceptions show their limits. It is aimed at researchers from all disciplines.
The third session, Socio-environmental variability, flexibility of political systems: dynamics and recompositions in the Sahel, will take place from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. on the Saint-Charles site (see program and address in copy).
